30+ years and still going I bought these boots when I was in college. I am now 55. Do the math. After 30+ years I just took them to my local shoe repair and had the soles glued back on. Now, they should last for the rest of my life. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Chippewa Arctic 50 I bought my first pair of these about 25 years ago, when they were called 50 Belows. I intended them for winter backpacking, but they were so comfortable, so warm, and so light, that they became my everyday New England boot. I wore them constantly from October through April or May, as well as all my winter hiking trips. My first pair lasted almost 20 years, with one resoling. I'm on my second pair and I expect to be buried in them. These are absolutely the best boots you will ever buy. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Best cold weather leather boots I've found. Have been wearing these boots for 3 Winters and now coming up on the 4th and they are the best lace up leather cold weather boots I have ever had. 100% waterproof and the genuine shearling lining is absolutely better at insulating than any synthetic insulation. I take a size 7D in regular or synthetic insulated boots and I have the 7EEE in these boots and the fit is perfect. The shearling lining is so thick and cushioned that the boots fit just right, not loose or tight, just snug enough to keep my feet snug in the boot but just loose enough as to not crush the lining and take away any insulating properties. I have never had a pair of leather boots that keep my feet this warm and comfortable before. If you need a boot for wet and cold conditions I highly recommend this boot over any thinsulate or other synthetic insulated boot, the natural wool lining of this boot truly cant be beat. This is a heavy duty boot with the comfort of a pair of bedroom slippers. If I ever wear these out and need another pair these would be my first choice again no question. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Warm feet! I needed a boot that would keep my feet warm while watching my son play ball hockey all winter long at outdoor rinks next to wind swept fields and rivers in NJ and other northeaster states. Thirteen winters later these boots are still keeping my feet warm in the winter and I expect many more winters of use from these boots. I wish everything I bought had this quality and durability. Also, being a Navy vet and member of the VFW I appreciate the nod in design of the boot to the Army mountaineer ski troops. Bravo Zulu. Yes, I recommend this product. |

My Apocalypse Boots I am out shopping for urban hikers that don't overlap with what these boots already do. Have had these boots for ten years and will resole them if they ever get there.
An outstanding boot for New England's unpredictable winters. These are my winter walkers when the ground is many levels of bare, to ragged, icy, slush and grime.
I bought these a 1/2 size to large for a cotton then thin acrylic top sock.
Killer survival boots, never seen better..
Warm weather I'm going with no liner all leather Han Wag half boot, similar to these
but more suited to 70-90 degrees. But checking here first before finalizing choice.
Great boots, great company. Satisfied 100% Yes, I recommend this product. |

I am not as tough as these boots I am not as tough as these boots, nor am I near as tough as all the railroad guys writing reviews. I do work in the negative 20-30's and have worn these doing tough guy stuff, but I need to emphasis that I am not a tough guy like the railroad men doing reviews. My wife just said why are you writing reviews about being a tough guy when you should be doing dishes, don't I have more important things to do. Any way I am buying these again after 10 years of use. Cheers Yes, I recommend this product. |

Great American Made Product My wife purchased these for my birthday/xams........absolutely love them. Took my dog for a 2 hr hike in 6" of snow and my feet stayed toasty. Cant say enough good things about these boots!I found that the size ran a little narrow - I ordered a EE - more than enough room. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Yes, I recommend this product. |

best boots ever I have been wearing chips since the late 80s and love the fit and how long they last. They take the beatings I have given them over and over again. I work outside and inside. I weld, work on fork trucks, on concrete all day and in the snow with them.
love them!!! Yes, I recommend this product. |

Current version of my Arctic -50 I purchased a pair of of Arctic -50 boots in 1990. They were amazing boots. I finally had to send them out to pasture after thousands of miles of hiking, snowshoeing and walking. They fit snug as they should for a full grain leather boot but break in over time. True to size. They have been around the world several times and have the wear to prove it. Three times resoled, but the flexing of the leather eventually led to the splits on a few seams after 26 years. For this new version, I hope these will be the same the old pair, rough, rugged, durable, comfortable with excellent craftsmanship. As for the person who complained about the felt liner. It serves a purpose. Insulation. You can replace it with more expensive inserts, but it defeats the insulation and simple comfort value. My 2 cents! Yes, I recommend this product. |

Just what I wanted I have an old pair of what I believe are Arctics. This original pair are in the shop getting resoled and are now over 20 years old. I bought this new pair about 2 weeks ago. I ordered a 12D and they fit like a 12D should fit. With the shearling lining they will feel a little snug. Don't worry, they will be comfortable and keep your feet warm. Unlike some pac boots you can still drive a car with standard transmission wearing these. Wearing 2 pair of socks is out of the question. These boots will require a break in period so expect a stiff, rugged feeling boot. The soles are a little slippery if you are on ice. I have worn these ice fishing and plan to wear them coyote and winter season crow hunting. The best part is Chippewa finally added a water proof lining. My original pair were not water proof although I never had wet feet when wearing them. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Never let down by their boots I have a pair of their loggers for work going on 3 years strong. Bought these for the cold days and for hunting. Extremely comfortable. I watch guys tear through boots all the time at work buying 2 pairs a year. Theses boots dont disappoint. Im converting guys on the job to wearing chippewa. Money well spent Yes, I recommend this product. |

best boots ever made!! Have been wearing these boots since the early 70's. Worked for telephone company in northern NY where temps drop well below zero. Feet were always warm and dry. Very comfortable while standing on pole climbers for long periods. Once you wear these boots you will never consider any other boot. AND they are made with pride in the USA !! Not cheap to buy but when you consider the years of service you get, warmth and comfort they are a great buy. I have owned five pairs in all these years and I'm rough on boots. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Warmth !!! I bought a pair in 1981. I still have them & truly wish I could still wear them. Old age & spreading feet made me retire them .about 25 yrs. of hunting & ice fishing. Bought a pair of Danners & froze my feet ! Now I can finally find them on line or at least a store now, they will BE my next boots again! Just could'nt throw'em out! They're like old friends! Yes, I recommend this product. |

The Best boot money can buy Let me start off by first saying that im a huge boot guy. I work in the building trades industry and nothing stands up to 80hr work weeks. I punish my boots to the extream. I have purchased almost every brand of boot from redwing, danner, HH, and the cheapos like carhart and cat. Nothing comes even close to the chippewa brand in comfort, stability and construction. I will not buy another brand of boot. unless they sell out to China Yes, I recommend this product. |

Best At 20 Below On The Lake I bought these last fall, they were on my feet daily all winter. Hands down these are the best, I have had many brands that felt good but didnt stand up to NW MN Cold. The lamb shearling liner is far superior to any thinsulate rated boots on the market. I look forward to wearing these for many winters to come. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Will outlast any boot on the market! 4 years ago I bought these boots before I started working on the railroad. As a signalman you find yourself walking on ballast all day long. Kicking stuff, scraping against foreign objects etc... I recently bought a pair of Danner's for a little more than what I paid for my Chippewas and I can honestly tell you that my Chippewas outlasted my Danners by far. I still have them and the only thing that is wearing those boots are the soles. Point blank, these are the best American made boots on the market today! Do t waste your time on anything else. Yes, I recommend this product. |

25 years later-Still my FAVORITE cold weather boot When your toes are dry and toasty, your arches and ankles feel uplifted and every step feels turbo powered, you know your boots are the BEST! And these boots remain the BEST after more than 25 years of use. Me and my Chippewas -definitely true love. After wearing my good old Chippewas to get through the severe 2014-2015 Northeast Winter, I started thinking "what if I needed a new pair?". So I just visited the Chippewa site and was relieved to find a prospective replacement almost identical to my old faithful pair. The current offering looks very similar. I expect them to feel and perform in a similar fashion. Yes, I recommend this product. |

winter boots I bought the best boots of my life 18 years ago and they are still going strong after 18 northeast winters. My son now wants the same for himself. The model number has changed after all this time, but the boot still has the same great features. These are the 9" artic shearling lined waterproof boot Yes, I recommend this product. |
