Not happy!!! I’ve been wearing Chippewa boots for years. I thought I would try this model cause I was wanting to try a regular size heal instead of the loggers. They were very comfortable to wear but my feet would get wet if I was working in the rain and after 6 months, they came apart at the heal. I never had this problem with my other Chippewa boots. I won’t right off Chippewa off cause of this pair of boots but I won’t buy this model(29416) again. No, I do not recommend this product.

nice work boots Over the past 9 years I've owned 3 pairs. I'm in these boots about 90% of the time. Great boot to work in, very comfortable.. As a farmer these boots are standing in everything you can find on a farm and sometime in deep... The only problem I ever had was that two out of the three pairs, the liners pulled out when taking my feet out of the boot. Yes, I recommend this product.

Same with my boots, left boot liner wanted to come out as I pulled my boot off . I have to hold the liner and pull them off at the same time . Like this when I received them . Don’t like how they beefed up top of the boot , some not all of my pants little tight . Yes, I recommend this product.

Boot liner The liner pulls out when you take the boot off. Compared to the left boot the stitching does not hold the liner to the bottom of the heel. Style 29416. I took 1 pair back already. Yes, I recommend this product.

Awesome boots, just bought my second pair. Got 3 yrs out of the first pair. Upper Michigan winters are cold and snowy. Kept my feet warm from about 18 deg and above, Great all summer with excellent traction. I work in Hvac installation so all kind of conditions. Love em. Yes, I recommend this product.

Heck Of A Boot Purchased from Russell's Western Wear cause Chippewa did not have my size.I wear 12 Ds in most everything but actually I'm 'just' shy of a full 12 and most Ds are snug. I bought 11 1/2 E and the fit is perfect. There will be no real break in pain for the foot part .... but the ankles will be bad I can tell. Luckily this leather though THICK ... IS supple. The problem is mostly on my knobby right ankle. There's a lot in these insulated boots. The tongue , which is causing the problem ( tongue gusset actually ) will have to be taught to fold properly. I may even have to cut off an inch and a half of the gusset top. Don't plan to go wading in them anyway. Workmanship is top notch. Leather is superb. Stitching is 11 of 10. Laces waxed and strong. Eyelets and hooks very solid. Toe box nice and roomy but not excessive. Insoles are good. Some real supportive rubber. Could use a tad more arch however. Will address with orthotics. Well that's all I know at this point. I did not give 5 stars because nothing is perfect and I haven't really gotten to know the boots yet. If they break in well and the sole doesn't fall off like some have reported on Chippewa boots I will change this review to 5 stars. Also ... no flag pendants. Not happy about this. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Could have been a good boot... Bought this boot about 3 weeks ago. Been wearing them to work for 2 weeks now. Noticed that my right foot was getting wet while working in slushy snow conditions so I decided to check them out when I got home. I immediately noticed that the leather was cracked where it meets the sole in two places and that it was also separating from the sole allowing the water to get in. This was my first ever pair of Chippewa and I had high hopes for these boots based on the companies reputation, the cost of the product and the fact that other than this issue I did love the boots. They are going back today and I am doubtful that I will gamble on another pair. Its a shame the quality is not up to par. I have a feeling that if I had purchased the imported version I probably would have had better luck at a much lower price. The only reason I gave it two stars was because they did fit great and were very comfortable and kept my feet warm. No, I do not recommend this product. |

these boots have saved my life I work in he north east. I work in temps that range from 0 deg. to 100 deg.I work on all surfaces from mud, snow, water, pavement, and rubber roofs. I walk up to 10 miles every day(per my fit bit) these boots have protected me in every way.In the winter I get better traction then any of my co workers. when I do slip or roll my ankle the 8 inch boot hugs my ankle and prevents any injury. white rubber roofs in the winter are dangerously slippery. these boots have prevented me from getting seriously hurt or killed. these boots get in contact with multiple chemicals and oils. They never break down. my feet never have been wet. I'm on my third pair over the past five years. I will never wear any thing else. please never dis continue these. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Worst boots I bought these boots a few months ago. The first pair the soles split and my feet got soaked. The second pair the same thing is happening. I bought them cause there supposed to be a heavy duty boot. I've had better luck with cheap department store boots. I will never buy chippewa boots again. What a waste of money. No, I do not recommend this product. |

Hands down best boot chippewa offers Ive bought many boots in the past few years all of which only lasted about 6months. I decided to give chippewa a try and i wish i tried them years ago! I fel in love with this boot the second i tried it on at the store. 5 stars for comfort. 5 stars for insulation. 5 stars for waterproofness. I worked outside in 10 degree weather in 1 foot of snow with these boots and my feet stayed dry and warm all day! I also did a waterproof test where i dug a hole in mud and filled it up with water. Took my sock off and put my boots on. I put my foot in the mud hole ankle deep in watee for a few minutes. My foot did not get hit with a spec of water. These boots are exactly what they are described to be. I highly recommend this boot!!!!!!!! Yes, I recommend this product. |

Well made with quality material I bought these boots about a month ago and couldn't be more happy with the quality and comfort. For the first week these boots were extremely uncomfortable! Being that they are made from strong heavy duty leather, it took some time to break them in, but after a week of wearing them, they are very comfortable and fit perfectly. I put a nice thick coat of sno-seal on them and my feet have stayed nice and dry. these boots do keep my feet warm for the most part, but if it's below 20 degrees and I'm not moving around much then my feet do tend to get a bit chilly. Other than that minor set back, these boots have treated me very well. And I look forward to future adventures in them. I would absolutely recommend these boots to an individual who is not afraid to sacrifice the extra money for a good quality pair of boots. It's absolutely worth it. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Great boots I've worked outside for seventeen years and I I I have bought many different brands of work boots. This was my first pair of Chippewa boots. I Thought that the price was good considering I've spent hundreds more on other brands. Out of the box the boots were pretty. Good quality leather and nicely oiled. They were also really stiff. They have a thick insulated lining and because of this where the gusseted tongue folds over it caused some discomfort. I knew I'd have to break them in before I could wear them for work. Now that the boots are broken in, they are incredibly comfortable. It is yet to be determined how they hold up as an outdoor work boot. I'll find out soon though as it's almost winter in Oregon. I'm considering buying another pair for casual wear as they are a really comfortable and also good looking. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Great Boot For All Seasons I've had this boot for 1 1/2 years now and im impressed with there versatility. I landscape and hardscape in the summers which includes 90 degree days, 6 days a week. Even though these boots are insulated, my feet stay cool in the summer when i wear them. I also shovel overnight shifts which are crazy here in New England. The boots have kept my feet warm and dry. These boots are more comfortbale
than most other boots i have worked in. My only advice would be to apply obenaufs to keep the leather protected from snow and salts of the winter. Overall, a great all around boot. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Great boot I work in the water industry and the boots hold up great a pair usally lasts me a year and a half. I spend a lot of time in the mud fixing water leaks and my feet only get wet when the water comes over the top of the boot. The sole holds up well to constant shovel use good boot over all |

Most comfortable boot yet I have been a fan of Chippewa boots ever since my first pair. I work in all weather conditions from bitter cold to lots of mud in the summer. These particular boots are great all around work boots. They are very comfortable and fit my feet well. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Not water proof These are my second pair of these boots in the last two months, the first pair the welt split from the sole on one of the boots the first time it got wet so i returned them and got a second pair and after a couple weeks of using them the wets on both boots started to split apart from the soles in the same place and in many others and the first time i worked with them snow shoveling about an hour in my feet were wet, the water had seeped in between the sole and the welt to the inside the boot, just very disappointed with the boots No, I do not recommend this product. |
