The Best for this Privce Range Very nice boots. Before I bought them, I read every now and then about the quality control issues and was afraid. But I risked and ordered the boots. I must say, that the quality and workmanship are as good as my Red Wing boots if not even better. Yes, I recommend this product.

Best boot by far I was given these as a gift 6 years ago and moved to Australia with them. They are not my daily wearers, but frequently. I have worn every brand good brand even Redwing 2 pairs. These are by far the best. Love the souls they are just now showing wear. Hard to find this quality of leather in a boot. Yes, I recommend this product.

Wear Them Everyday I received these as a Birthday present over a years ago. I wear these almost everyday. They are true to size and have basically formed to me. I get compliments on them all the time. I've worn them for work and out on the town. Love them! Yes, I recommend this product. |

Style Over Substance I am on my third pair and that is not a compliment. The stitching pops out so fast - it's a wonder the boots didn't fall apart in the box while they were being mailed to me. I bought them from LL Bean 3 years ago. That store has got a crazy good return policy so at the end of each year I return them for a new pair. That company must be kicking themselves for partnering with Chippewa. The pros of these boots is a very short and simple list - they look awesome. The cons, equally simple - I wear them to work and they fall apart. MAKE A NICER BOOT. No, I do not recommend this product. |

Great Boot I bought these after wearing Danner for years in hopes of finding an American made boot made in the old school way. Glad I did. They're outstanding boots. Granted, as daily wearers, the pair is not likely to take hard abuse the way my quarry boots are, but these Service boots are well made, very comfortable, and look outstanding. Highly recommend supporting American business. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Great looking boots but quality control issues. I get lots of compliments on my boots and have bought a second pair for motorcycle riding. Two issues with the boots, the fit of the boots from the 1st pair to the 2nd pair fit completely different, one is a narrow fit the other a wide fit. Very strange as they are the same size. In addition there were lots of imperfections on my 2nd pair. Stitching issues and leather imperfections from stitching the leather to the sole. Great looking Boots but for the price I would expect better quality control. My suggestion to the company is to sell the boots with cosmetic issues at a discount because this will hurt the company in the long run. Yes, I recommend this product. |

I get complements all the time My feet chew through boots like they are made of cardboard. I wanted to try something high-end to see how it felt.It was between Chippewa, Red Wing, and Wolverine. Went with Chippewa on overall shape, color, and Vibram V-bar sole (freakin bullet proof). I also wear prescription insoles so the heel had to be able to mold to a new heel geometry and be firm enough to offer support.I am not going to lie, the break-in period was a bit long. But that is to be expected in my situation. I have to force all my shoes to fit my feet.In the end, these boots are perfect for me. The leather breathes surprisingly well for such thick leather. The V-Bar soles are tough and last longer than compressed leather. They give me the style I am looking for rather than chunky lug soles.I never did try Red Wing all though my dad who has similar feet to me told me to never buy them. He said he wore them for a year and they never did actually fit him well. Never did try Wolverine but I am sure they are great if you like a compressed leather sole. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Shifted Heel This is my first pair Chippewa. I wear it for 2 days and found out that the heel start shifted to the outside. A clear edge shows up between heel and out sole. Same problem was reported by previous user. I probably should go to the shoe repair store to fix it. Disappointed me! No, I do not recommend this product. |

Excellent Boots It took a little bit of time to break these in out of the box. But I have never been more happy with a boot in all my life. These are great all-around. I feel comfortable wearing them at work, hiking, or even in dress clothes. The only issue that I have is that if you have high arches you may need to invest in orthopedic inserts. But other than that I recommend these to anyone in the market. Yes, I recommend this product. |

Definitely not "The best. By far" I think chippewa really does not live up to their motto of being "The best. By far" in fact they're far from being the best. For a boots of this price i would expect better quality control and a boot with these defects should not even leave the factory. When i received the product, i noticed a slight heel separation on the left boot. After my first wear of city walking, i realized that both pairs have quite a significant heel shift (pictures attached). Also, the stitching of the top of the boot came loose. The quality of the leather also varies as i have loose grain "veining"/wrinkling on one boot but not the other. I have another pair of Red Wing Moc boots that i have worn for 5 years and they are flawless up till now. i would definitely recommend spending a little more for a pair of Red Wing compared to chippewa's. The quality on chippewa is just horrible. |

I purchased these boots two weeks ago (today, 2/24/15). It is my second pair of Chippewa boots. The first pair lasted me 3+ years, and that is saying allot because i did little to maintain them and I was a brick layer at the time, so the mortar was murder on them. I decided to go ahead and drop some serious coin on another pair of boots, and figured Chippewa to be the best quality for my dollar. I do like the boots very much other than 3 things. (1) I have a wide foot. I am actually a full size larger than these boots. they are stretching out to accommodate ok, but still wider sizes would have been a big improvement. (2) I dont mind an open channel, but for the money i think it should have been a sunken channel to help out a bit on the longevity, seeing as how most people splurge on expensive boots not just for comfort but also longevity. (3) They did not Fully stitch the heel on! Three or four more stitches would have been all that was needed. As a result, the heel shifted to the outside on both of my boots about 1/16 ". I dont think it would have fallen off, but what if i went for a hike? my body weight would keep twisting and flexing that heel, decreasing longevity and making for a sloppy heel. I glued the edges that were floppy on my boots (the forward edges) and it fixed the problem, accept now i have totally lost the smooth seamless look between the heel and sole, not happy about that one. But now my heel feel firm and Gorilla Glue wont let it go anywhere. when i get to the point i get them resoled, i will be sure to have them do a better job on the sole and heal. I still like Chippewa, but am very disappointed with the corners they cut on this boot. No, I do not recommend this product. |

Great American boot! Good quality. Old fashioned break-in time. No cushioning. Nice laces but will need replaced in short time. Yes, I recommend this product. |
