Description:
The Golden Tan Nubuc Arctic is a 9-inch tall men's lace-up boot with a golden tan leather exterior that features the Chip-A-Tex® waterproof membrane system. It's breathable but water is locked out of the boot by the membrane shield. It has Texon® 460 waterproof insoles that deliver heightened comfort through a moisture management lining system that's quick drying. This boot guarantees to keep your feet warm with a wool polypropylene felt that insulates the foot for even greater warmth and comfort, yet still thin enough to allow complete freedom of movement and designed for some of the harshest conditions and retains insulating value in damp conditions. The Vibram® outsole provides maximum traction on wet and dry surfaces so this boot can withstand snow, ice, and rain. This style is proudly assembled in the USA with imported parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boot I've ever owned 19 years ago I purchased these boots for $50 on clearance at Gander Mountain, little did I know at the time how great of a boot I was buying. These boots have been have been used & abused their entire life. Climbing mountains & bluffs, hanging treestands, scouting, shed hunting, ect. These boots have ALOT of hard miles on them. All I've ever had to do is replace the insert. The sole/tread must be made of steel because there is a good amount of tread still on them. Any other boot I've worn the treads are gone in 2 years. Last fall, the sole finally came off the one boot and until that day these boots were still more comfortable than boot I've ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wear like iron Like the fella below, I got the same deal at Gander Mtn. almost two decades ago. These boots have always been my go-to cold weather boots since then and I can't seem to destroy them. Except for the insoles and laces, they are all original. Only limitations are when temps get to -20F, you'll need another boot and the old models had excellent solid brass hardware. Wouldn't life be so much better if the products we purchase today are as well built, designed and hand crafted as these boots? Nice work, Chippewa. I hope you are as proud of making your footwear as I am wearing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Boot These boots have been my favorite for 38 years. Look great, wear great. I have probably had over 20 pair or more. 2 things I do wish they would return to are the Heavy Duty Chrome speed laces & the original Vibran soles. I will take these boots to the grave with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second pair of same boot I bought my first pair of Arctic 40 belows in 1989 and wore them until 2003 until they got too tight and the sole fell off. Those boots went through mud, snow, ice, briars and brambles, deer, squirrel, rabbit woods and as a volunteer firefighter my brush fire boots. My second pair was bought after a few years of other boots only issue I have with my new boots are the laces are about a foot or longer too short. I love Chippewa boots and would own more if my finances would allow it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent boots I bought my pair of these boots in Epsteins in Brewer, Maine in 1975. I lost them in a fire in March of this year (2015). They still had tread, still warm and comfortable, although for the last few years I only wore them shoveling snow or snowshoeing. They fit like a glove from day one. I'll just have to go buy another pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot made in the USA! This pair of boots is worth every penny that you pay for it. Made in the USA and quality to prove it. Sizing is a little off due to the break in of Real Leather and the sheepskin lining. This is a boot made to last till you just plain stop working and then you will still have an everyday cold weather boot to wear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot When I bought this boot back in 1978, it was called -40 Chippewa..It looks the very exact same then as this picture today..Greatest boot I ever owned, hunted in the Desert, Mountain, and Swamps...Never failed me...
